Rebman said that after the cadmium was discovered, AAFES electronically blocked sales of the necklaces and pulled them from the shelves.
Rebman declined to detail what items were blocked, even though some had been sold. He said there is no current legal requirement to test for cadmium and that AAFES and the supplier were just being extra vigilant.
He also declined to name the supplier.
"I really don’t want to say, because there could be legal complications with that," Rebman said.

Yeah- good on you AAFES- we wouldn't want those few people who bought them to find out that what they are wearing could be dangerous, would we. Let's cover our asses instead and hope for the best. Anyone else see a problem with that?!

this is just another example of what all employees know,, that aafes cares more about their bottom line than their customers,,,from reading the article sounds like the big wigs in dallas would rather have dead kids than admit to any thing that might bring legal consequences
