They're doing the same thing on my base.Back before Thanksgiving, sales were down ... and they announced hours would be cut, but all of us RPT people stayed at 40 hours for several weeks. In the two weeks or so leading up to Xmas, and continuing to the present time, they announce that sales are UP, but our hours are being scaled back. I am at 35 hours for this week of inventory ... and they tell us we will go as low as 32 hours after the inventory is over. You would think that a 32 hour work week would mean 8-hour shifts, working FOUR days a week ... at least we could get an extra day to sleep in and do our own thing. But NOOOO. They are coming up with some crazy scheduling mix of 6, 7, and 8 hour days, and still going to require us to show up for work 5 days a week. Its bad enough they are shorting our paychecks ... the least they could do is give us an extra day off.I can understand that AAFES management is running a business and need to balance their budget ... but why do they always have to reach into MY POCKET in order to make ends meet? Aren't there other controllable expenses on the spreadsheet that can be trimmed?
