Does the clothing selection suck at all AAFES, or just here?  I didn't pay much attention CONUS, because I got clothes elsewhere.  but man, does it blow here.  It's best to order child clothes online, I cruise away from base to buy mine, and my wife gets her stuff made.

One of the twins was kind enough to dump a gallon of bleach into my washing machine the other day while a lot of my collared shirts were in it.  She's the sneaky one.  We kept the bleach under the sink in the kitchen...  Anyhow, I needed some new shirts.  I went to the BX figuring I would buy a couple, but then I thought better.  The only shirts  that I would think about wearing cost $40-$70.  The rest were crap.  The expensive ones I still had to think about because they really weren't my style.  Too flamboyant.  The price tag confirmed that thought.  I found the $40 shirts on the 'bargain' rack.  Now don't get me too wrong, some plain t-shirts were readily available and not too pricey, but I have plenty of those.  It was the collared ones that were missing.  So I cruised down the freeway to the mall and spent about $15 on a couple of shirts and called it a day.  In my mind they even looked better than the ones at the BX, but that could just be my predisposition to not like AAFES.  They also don't carry pants with my inseam, but that's not too uncommon.

Does anybody else notice this?  I know that the child clothes problem is real as it's been a complaint by many since we got here, we were even warned prior to landing.  The problem with my attire selection could simply be my style preference as opposed to actual selection.

Cowboy,
Not really. I've always noticed that whatever clothing is sold in the BX/PX, I never see anyone actually wearing any of it. Granted, it may be hard to tell with jeans, but shirts are usually a dead giveaway - and I've never seen a shirt or jacket on anyone that is sold in the BX/PX.
