Hi all. I had to file Chapter 7. Ran into Alot of financial difficulties over the last couple of years. Filed the Petition around Thanksgiving. On Dec 15 2009 I was informed that my Temporary position of Supervisor was being Canceled. That on Dec 26 I was going back to my old position at the BX/PX. I had a MilStar card which was included in my Petition. I feel this had some bearring on my situation. My "Meeting of Creditors" was on 1/12/10. Now I get an e-mail from my attorny. MilStar claims that an Acer desktop purchased in Dec 08 is "Secured Debt" A $500 unit. They want a "Settlement" of $317. Which BTW, I was current on my payments with them until the Filing. I am still waiting on my lawyer to get back to me.

I guess "depreciation" is an unknown term to some folks...

The credit thing is a sneaky way to screw with people. However, for those of you at HQ monitoring this, cutting people's hours/pay is NOT going to get you your money.

Heard from my lawyer. Sent me a "reaffirmation of debt" form. With a proposed settlement of $30 month. 0% Interest. 10 months. Then I guess #11 would be the balance of $17. And if I read it correctly, The payments start on Feb 20. Which has to be mailed to a Credit Bankruptcy Service in Dallas Tx. Not sure if it means that it is due on the 20th. Have to ask my lawyer on Mon.
