Is anyone aware of assistant store managers not getting paid for over time but get comp time off instead?

Its a long term policy that there is no such thing as comp time, but of course it is frequently used. In the case of an Assistant Store Manager they would almost always be a PB (Pay Band) employee and that would usually be overtime exempt. Management that is eligible for O/T are those that are Administrative. Most management positions in the field (stores) can be used in excess of 8hrs a day or 40 hours a week without being paid overtime. Most decent managers will give the managers a "comp" day when they have worked an excessive amount of time getting ready for Inventory, emergencies or the usual Visits from the HQ Clones.

What Insider1 said... Comp is not supposed to be used in lieu of OT for hourly employees. Period.

It does get used a lot by the managers. Basically, you get a lot of people that just take it when they can squeeze it because it is a bitch to get OT approved.

gm'S seem to expect MGR's to be in stores 24/7. They dont get paid over time and many put in way more than 40 hrs a week. Even if comp time is technically frowned upon, , i am all for the store mgrs giving comp time. who wants to work for free right,, yet AAFES expect them 2
