I have been with AAFES for awhile now and things just keep getting worse.  How many of you know of an employee who had given a discount when they shouldn't have and had be FIRED!!!!!.
Well let me tell you about Ft. Jackson, SC . It seem if you are a manager you are above the law.  Back in March a manager who was a TEMP 3C who had never been a manger except as a temp RPOS manger for two months and who is still going to the managers training class and who is and everybody knows he is the pet of the GM and MS manager.  Let me tell you what he got away with.  He sold 24 total net books and laptops to one customer. So far no problem...... This one customer was able to purchase all 24 at 75%  off EACH.  Supposedly the the netbooks & Laptops where phased out.  I can tell you NONE of those 24 ever made it to the floor for other customers to buy at such a great price.  If fact the manager went to the stockroom and reeled them all out for the customer.  And he even rang up the sale himself.  That manager had never used the register before this transaction.  The total of this sale should have been over $8000.00 the total discount was $6034.00.How many of you out there would like to buy a netbook for $74.00.  I had several friends call and act like customers and talked to that manager in reference to being able to purchase the same for 75% off.  They were all told the same "That the Main Store has never   sold NET BOOKS or LAPTOPS at 75% off." As of today he was was promoted permanently to that 3C position and will graduate the Manager training class this week.  The old saying you screw up you move up.   And not what you know but who you know.  I have seen a lot happending here at the Main Store since the new manager came on board.  and it is not good

What are you saying, that one of AAFES' great managerial wonder kids gets away with theft?  Red, this happens all the time all throughout AAFES.  If he is part of the GOB network, he will most definitely get away with this and any other actions he chooses to accomplish.  AAFES does not punish any of the GOB network,only promotes them to higher positions.

Don't worry AAFES will be going down the tubes faster with their current management hierarchy in place, from the COO down to the lowest pee on manager.

No one really likes AAFES anymore, just tolerates them at times.

And it sure ain't only the managers that can get away with anything. That corruption goes all the way up. In the pacific region its come to my attention theres the general manger of a base who got outed for sleeping with one of his employees. And that got covered up QUICK! The associate was promoted due to that love affair and when they were outed the proof of that was channeled all the way up even to the big hq in dallas by some concerned associates and.... well nothing. Apparently its the policy of aafes to cover up and protect those in the GOB network instead of holding them responsible.
